Q. What is the student to teacher ratio?
A. This varies by building, but the overall ratio is 13:1
Q. Do you offer tuition assistance to families?
A. All of our Tuition Grants are based on financial need and the availability of funds. Application for the grant is made to an independent assessment agency following your application to the school. Awards for qualifying families range from 10-70% of the annual tuition.
Q. Does Providence participate in the SB10 funding for Special Needs students?
A. Yes but on a limited basis. We can accommodate students, who meet all of the other requirements for admission, and have a diagnosed mild learning disability or ADD/ADHD. We are not able to consider or serve any student with additional disabilities including Autism.
Q. What are the school hours?
A. Students can arrive beginning at 7:30 a.m. and begins at 8 a.m. Carpool begins at 2:45 p.m. for the Elementary/Middle School and the High School is released at 3 p.m.
Q. Do you offer extended care after school?
A. Yes, we offer an after school program, Fun in the Afternoon, which runs until 6 p.m. Details are available on the

Q. Do Providence students wear a uniform?

Q. Do you require testing for all applicants?
A. It is determined on a case by case basis and if required, the fee is $75.
Q. What are your academic requirements for admission?
A. Every applicant must be on or above grade level to be considered for admission. Additionally, they must have recent nationally-normed standardized testing results. This means that the test results are compared on a national level rather than a county or state level.
Q. What is meant by “Covenant Christian School”?
A. Providence Christian Academy’s mission is to “provide excellence in Christ-Centered education as an extension of the Christian home”. As the school partners with the Christian home, it is essential that at least one parent have a viable Christian testimony and is actively involved in a Christian church.
Q. Is Providence affiliated with one church or denomination?
A. No. We have families from approximately 150 different Christian churches in the greater Atlanta area.
Q. Can my child be considered for admission with a discipline record?
A. Providence does not accept students with a history of school discipline.
Q. How is the admission decision made?
A. Following the receipt of all required documents, the complete file will be sent to the Principal’s office and an interview will be scheduled. The Admission Committee will make a decision and you will be notified by the Admission Office.
