As the time frame for the previous Providence strategic plan drew to a close in late 2010, the Board of Directors and senior administration began crafting a new plan, which was completed in March of 2011. The process was preceded by the school leadership generating numerous documents for review by the planners: e.g., financial data, the expiring planning document, capital campaign prospects, admission/enrollment histories, marketing materials and other pertinent data. In addition, the consulting firm invited to lead the process, Independent School Management (ISM) of Wilmington, Delaware, conducted on-line surveys of the current parents, the Board of Directors, and the faculty/staff.
The Providence mission, to provide excellence in Christ-centered education as an extension of the Christian home, can only be realized through the fulfillment of the vision to be an effective partner in developing young men and women who are growing in their walk with Christ, demonstrating academic excellence, and impacting the world in which they live. For this to be a reality, the following themes must be central to all planning, implementation, and evaluation processes.
