Odyssey Study Abroad Program
Your International Adventure Begins Here

Odyssey is a study-abroad program designed to strengthen and encourage students in all areas of life. The program is open to Providence students in grades 10-12 and Providence alumni. Students travel to another country during the school term. We are offering two trip this year (see the sidebar). Most trips include three weekends and two full school weeks. Students are expected to keep up with their studies awhile abroad using a variety of online learning methods. In addition, elements of Christian Education, Outreach, and Cultural/Historical activities are added to make the program both challenging and rewarding. Chaperons serve as mentors, tutors, and guides while the students are studying and traveling abroad. We partner with like-minded Christian organizations to help us with the various aspects of the program while abroad.

This Year's Trips

Jan 16 to Jan 27, 2012
All-inclusive Cost: $2200
Please note the change of dates and venue. The trip does not conflict with Homecoming! Our ministry partner Word of Life is helping with the coordination of this trip. This trip is for the ministry-minded student who wants to experience a service-oriented trip in a Latin American country. This is a marvelous opportunity to practice your Spanish and live out your faith. Because of the ministry emphasis of this trip, all donations are made directly to Word of Life and are tax-deductible.

Greece, Turkey, and France
March 30 to April 12, 2012
All-inclusive Cost: $3200
Our ministry partner Christian Heritage is helping with the coordination of this trip. This is the "Footsteps of Paul" trip, giving the student first-hand experience at the sites of first-century churches. Then, review our Christian heritage on a tour of Paris and Normandy. The first half of this trip is over Spring break, so parents are encouraged to attend all or part of the trip with their students.
